The catalogue

Ten panels. One requisition.

Three need a phlebotomy chair. The rest are swab, urine or stool, which is why they can go home with the patient without compromising the assay. Every panel below states what it is not before it states what it is.

Turnaround is two to five business days from the laboratory receiving the specimen; a take-home kit adds shipping both ways. Suggested retail is guidance — partner practices set their own. StemAge is quoted per account.

In-clinic venous draw

General Wellness

CMP, CBC, lipid panel and a full hormone panel — the metabolic baseline every other panel is read against.

What it measures

  • Comprehensive metabolic panel — renal and hepatic function, electrolytes, albumin
  • CBC with differential — hematocrit, platelets, red and white cell indices
  • Lipid panel — cardiovascular context
  • Full hormone panel — IGF-1, testosterone, estradiol, TSH, cortisol, DHEA

What it is not

It is not a TRT diagnostic on its own. Men's health clinics should ask about the reconfigured TRT Baseline build, which adds PSA, LH, FSH, SHBG, calculated free testosterone and reflexed prolactin.

Buccal swab · clinic or home

Cancer Screening (CGX)

Germline cancer-risk screening from a cheek swab — an inherited-risk answer a patient gets once and keeps.

What it measures

  • Germline variants associated with inherited cancer predisposition
  • Reported as risk information against laboratory-defined interpretation
  • DNA from a buccal swab — no draw, collected chairside or at home

What it is not

It is not a cancer detection test and does not indicate whether a patient has cancer now. It does not replace age-appropriate screening.

Pharmacogenetics (PGX)

How a patient metabolises what you prescribe. Drug–gene response across CPIC Level A pairs, from a swab.

What it measures

  • Drug–gene response across CPIC Level A pairs
  • CYP2D6 — codeine and tramadol metabolism
  • CYP2C19 and CYP2C9 — the pathways most often involved in interactions

What it is not

It does not predict whether a drug will work. It describes metabolism, which is one input into a prescribing decision you make.

Vein Wellness panel

In-clinic venous draw

In-clinic venous draw

Vein Wellness

The metabolic workup that sorts a swollen-leg differential duplex cannot explain — iron, cardiac, renal and thyroid.

What it measures

  • CBC with differential — platelets and Hct/Hgb
  • Comprehensive metabolic panel — renal function gates contrast
  • Iron studies with TSAT — iron-deficient restless legs is the commonest mimic
  • NT-proBNP — separates cardiac edema from venous edema
  • Urine protein:creatinine — separates renal edema from venous edema
  • TSH with reflex free T4 — thyroid dysregulation presents as peripheral edema

What it is not

It does not diagnose or grade chronic venous insufficiency; imaging does that. It does not exclude DVT or PE and makes no clot-risk prediction.

Oral swab · clinic or home

Oral Health

Twenty organisms quantified, including all three red-complex periodontal pathogens, plus salivary pH.

What it measures

  • Twelve periodontal pathogens — P. gingivalis, T. denticola, T. forsythia, A. actinomycetemcomitans, F. nucleatum and more
  • Opportunistic organisms — S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, Acinetobacter, Haemophilus
  • Candida species and normal flora
  • Salivary pH against an AAP Medical flag range of 6.70–7.30

What it is not

It is not a screening test for cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis or dementia. Periodontal disease remains a clinical and radiographic diagnosis.

Swab or urine · clinic or home

Swab or urine · clinic or home

Sex Health (STD)

A comprehensive, confidential STI panel that needs no separate appointment.

What it measures

  • Comprehensive sexually transmitted infection panel
  • Swab or urine collection — in the practice or at home
  • Confidential results to the ordering clinician and the patient

What it is not

Window periods apply to several infections, so a negative close to an exposure is not a reliable all-clear.

In-clinic venous draw

Allergy

Indoor and outdoor IgE allergen panel from a small blood sample.

What it measures

  • Specific IgE against a panel of common indoor and outdoor allergens
  • Quantitative values against laboratory-defined ranges

What it is not

Specific IgE indicates sensitisation, which is not the same as clinical allergy. Interpretation needs the symptom history.

Take-home stool

Take-home stool

Cancer Detection Stool

Stool DNA colorectal detection — a shelf-stable box handed over at checkout.

What it measures

  • Stool DNA plus blood biomarkers, validated for asymptomatic average-risk screening
  • Colorectal cancer — not prostate; no stool assay detects prostate disease

What it is not

Not for a patient with visible rectal bleeding — that is a referral, not a screen. A positive result requires diagnostic colonoscopy.

Take-home swab

Respiratory / COVID-19 PCR

Comprehensive respiratory virus PCR panel, self-collected and shipped direct to the laboratory.

What it measures

  • PCR across a panel of common respiratory viruses including SARS-CoV-2
  • Self-collected swab, prepaid return to the laboratory

What it is not

PCR can remain positive after infectiousness has passed. A result is not on its own a clearance decision.

Confirmed at contracting

StemAge

A regenerative-age panel for practices running longevity or regenerative protocols, quoted per account.

What it measures

  • Regenerative and biological-age markers — the analyte list is confirmed in writing at contracting
  • Positioned as a baseline before a regenerative protocol and a re-test after it

What it is not

We are not publishing an analyte list, a reference range or a price for StemAge until the performing laboratory has confirmed all three. Biological-age scores carry no established clinical cut-point, and StemAge is not a diagnostic test.

Stacking

The second panel costs the same chair time as the first.

Panels collected on the same visit report together to one portal on one requisition, which is why practices that start on one rarely stay on one.

What is deliberately absent

There is no panel here sold as a screen for a systemic condition it has not been validated against, none that claims to predict treatment response, and no fingerstick version of General Wellness — the specimen would not carry the hormone panel that makes it worth ordering. StemAge carries no published analyte list because the performing laboratory has not confirmed one, and we would rather show a gap than fill it with something invented.
