Six steps from registration to the re-test, with the staff time each one costs. The honest number is 25 to 40 minutes per panel, and we would rather you plan around it than discover it.

Provider registration and licensure verification, then your opening order ships. No purchase order, no capital, no minimum. Verification takes one business day.
Week oneOrder and collect
A licensed clinician orders the panel. Two of the eight are a venous draw in the practice; the other six are a swab, urine or stool collection you can do in the operatory or at home with the prepaid return label.

Your specimen goes to our CLIA-certified partner laboratory, which holds the result-delivery obligation including escalating an abnormal finding. No part of the analysis happens in a practice.

This is the whole reason our catalogue looks different from a home-monitoring subscription, so it is worth being specific about.
Why three panels need a chair
General Wellness, Vein Wellness and Allergy require a venous draw. A fingerstick sample is small, and it is prone to hemolysis and to dilution with interstitial fluid — which is precisely the kind of interference that a comprehensive metabolic panel, a full hormone panel and specific IgE cannot tolerate. We could ship a smaller panel that fits a fingerstick. We would rather ship the one worth ordering.
Why the rest do not
Germline DNA is stable and a buccal swab carries it perfectly well, so CGX and PGX are genuinely home-collectable. Oral microbiology needs an oral swab by definition. Stool DNA needs stool. Urine and swab STI collection is validated. In each of those cases home collection is not a compromise — it is the correct specimen, and it happens to be more convenient.
A take-home kit adds shipping in both directions on top of the two-to-five business day laboratory turnaround. If timing matters, collect it in the practice. We would rather quote that than bury it in a footnote.
Somebody licensed owns every result.
There are two models depending on where the panel sits relative to your clinician’s scope, and both of them end with a named person responsible.
Your clinician orders it
Where the panel is inside their scope — a periodontal panel in a dental practice, a TRT workup in a men’s health clinic — your own clinician orders it, because it is their patient and their prescribing decision. We supply the kit, the laboratory and the report.
Our telehealth physician orders it
Where it is outside their scope, a AAP Medical telehealth physician licensed in your state orders the panel and owns the result. Your practice never becomes physician of record for a finding it is not positioned to manage.
Either way the performing laboratory holds the result-delivery obligation, including abnormal-result escalation. Nothing on this site is a substitute for seeking professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
What a monitoring subscription does instead.
We are describing the consumer at-home testing category as it describes itself, not any single named provider.

How long does it actually take?
Two to five business days from the laboratory receiving your specimen. If you collected at home, add shipping both ways. If timing matters, collect in the practice.
What if a result is abnormal?
The performing laboratory escalates it, and the ordering clinician is responsible for the follow-up. An abnormal panel is a prompt for clinical correlation, not a diagnosis on its own — and every report carries that boundary in writing.
Do I need to fast?
For General Wellness, yes — a morning fasting draw. Hormone panels in particular are time-of-day dependent, which is one of the reasons this panel is clinic-collected. Your practice will tell you when to come in.
Is insurance billed?
No. Everything here is cash-pay and sits beside insured care rather than inside it. No claim is submitted on your behalf and no federal healthcare programme money is involved.
What does the re-test actually prove?
That something moved, or that it did not. That is the honest answer. A panel measures markers; it does not measure how you feel and it does not prove a treatment worked in the sense a clinical trial would. What it does is replace ‘I think this is helping’ with a number your clinician can compare.
Can I order without a practice?
Yes — order through the shop and we route the requisition to a licensed clinician. But the panels that need a draw still need a draw, so you will be directed to a partner practice or a patient service centre for collection.
What we will tell you, unprompted.
The same three commitments we give a practice, because a patient is entitled to them too.
What we commit to
- The laboratory is named. CLIA certificate number and accreditation status, on request, before you order.
- The assay method is stated. Where a marker needs mass spectrometry to be reliable, we say so.
- The turnaround is measured. Not a category average — the real round trip, including shipping if you collect at home.
What we will not do
- We will not shrink a panel to fit a cheaper specimen. If the assay needs a venous draw, it gets a venous draw.
- We will not sell a result without a reader. Every panel is ordered by a licensed clinician who owns it.
- We will not claim a screen we cannot evidence. Screening requires established sensitivity, specificity and outcome benefit. Where that does not exist, we do not use the word.
